This one-day condensed version of Creative Manitoba’s The Art of Managing Your Career course presents an in-depth overview of the practical skills you need to grow your arts and culture career!  Regardless of your creative discipline, this course offers an invaluable skillset to creative entrepreneurs, including envisioning and developing a career strategy, developing a business plan, marketing and promoting your work, bookkeeping and budgeting tips!

Instructor: Heidi Hunter
Heidi Hunter runs with scissors. Her studio is an oasis of colour where she hand-dyes fabrics and wearables, creates award-winning art quilts, and hosts creativity workshops. An ‘artist’s artist’, Heidi is a gifted and experienced teacher, and a forever student. For 14 years, she welcomed Manitobans into her studio on the WAVE tour, and has always enjoyed promoting the arts throughout her 30+ years as a professional artist on stage, and in studio. A colourful and animated speaker, she is obsessed with the creative process and driven by the challenges of running a successful arts business.  www.runswithscissors.ca

Cancellation policy
Creative Manitoba reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Creative Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Registrants may cancel up to one week before the event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued to registrants who cancel within one week of the event start date. No refunds will be issued for registrants who do not attend.

Substitute participants are allowed in most cases, but not all. Please check with us ahead of time if you wish to send a substitute participant by calling 204-927-2787.
