On Saturday & Sunday, June 6 & 7, the Manitoba Band Association (MBA) Family of Festivals Community Band Festival celebrates Manitoba’s diverse tapestry of community bands by connecting youth and adults alike through a weekend of sharing music and community in Winnipeg’s beautiful Coronation Park.

The MBA Family of Festivals, which began in February and runs over a total of 15 days through June 7, 2026, is one of the largest of its kind in Western Canada.

Saturday, June 6

• 1:00pm – Friday Morning Concert Band
• 2:00pm – Westwood Community Band
• 3:00pm – Winnipeg Video Game Orchestra
• 4:00pm – The Winnipeg Pops Orchestra

Sunday, June 7

• 1:00pm – The German Club Band
• 2:00pm – Northwinds Community Band
• 3:00pm – Executive Big Band
• 4:00pm – Assiniboia Concert Band
• 5:00pm – The Big Band Project

Location

Coronation Park: located in north St Boniface on the east side of St Mary’s Road, between Tache St. and Eugenie St., the festival takes place in the heart of beautiful Coronation Park at the band stand and on the patio.

What to Bring

Festival goers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket, water, and sun protection!

Admission

There is no cost to attend, though donations to support MBA programs and band activity in Manitoba are gratefully accepted. 

As this is a fair-weather outdoor festival, performances are weather-permitting. Any cancellations or delays will be shared via MBA social media.
