Excel Basics for Arts Administrators
Excel is not only about tables. Along with the math functions for financial reporting, Excel can be a powerful tool to track inventory; organize and maintain contact lists for patrons, donors, audience members and class participants; create office form templates; analyze demographic information; create line, bar, pie or scatter charts for reporting purposes; and much more.

Instructor/Presenter:
Norine Harty has worked in the non-profit sector for over 25 years. Norine has held positions with arts, culture, social service and educational organizations. Norine is currently employed as the Executive Director for the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts. Norine studied Education at the University of Regina and Business Administration at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon. Norine has a strong background in financial and human resource management, volunteer management, education, program development, communications and marketing. Norine began her music journey studying piano and enjoys sharing music through music education. She continues her musical adventures as a beginner fiddling and ukulele student. Norine believes strongly in giving back to the community through volunteering and has served in many volunteer capacities including Board director for several non-profit organizations. Norine lives in East St. Paul with her husband, Quentin and is a doting “Nana” to her two wonderful grandchildren.

Cancellation policy

Creative Manitoba reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Creative Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Registrants may cancel up to one week before the event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued to registrants who cancel within one week of the event start date. No refunds will be issued for registrants who do not attend.

Substitute participants are allowed in most cases, but not all. Please check with us ahead of time if you wish to send a substitute participant by calling 204-927-2787.
