Introduction to Board Governance
Boards are essential to the oversight and operation of non-profit organizations, and in fact, non-profit organizations which are properly governed have demonstrated to be more effective and more likely to succeed, than poorly governed ones. However, understanding what a board does and for what it is responsible can be challenging. Our Introduction to Board Governance workshop will help you meet the challenge!
United Way’s Learning Centre is delighted to partner with Dr. Andrea Rounce and Dr. Karine Levasseur to bring you an Introduction to Board Governance. This workshop is designed for Executive Directors, senior staff, and board members who are new to their positions and wish to better understand board governance.
Join Dr. Andrea Rounce and Dr. Karine Levasseur at United Way’s Learning Centre on Saturday, September 23 for this full day workshop beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. Registration is $150 per person and includes a working lunch.
