DESCRIPTION:For the first time ever\, The Gargoyle Theatre is happy to host Megan Clarke as she releases her debut romance novel\, The Love Monologue. \nBased in Winnipeg\, MB\, this contemporary romance focuses on independent theatre\, mental health\, and strong community\, and we are super proud to be involved in this launch. \nAbout the Event: \nDate: Friday\, September 18\, 2026\nTime: Doors open at 6:30 PM\, Event begins at 7:00 PM \nAbout the Author: \nMegan Clarke is a contemporary romance author by day and an arts worker by night. Her stories are full of strong female characters\, found family and mental health representation. As a freelance creator\, she’s granted abundant time to daydream about fictional characters falling in love\, but only if sharp banter and happily ever afters are involved. She currently lives in Winnipeg with her cat. \nAbout the book: \nCathy Price prefers to stay in the dark. Literally. As a lighting technician at the Elysian Theatre\, she can control the spotlight without ever having to stand in it. But when her boss tells her the fall show has been cancelled\, Cathy is thrust into the terrifying role of playwright. Her panic hits a fever pitch when the perfect leading man walks through the door at auditions: Aaron Dobbs.
