SUMMARY:Adventures in Music - 12:30 pm
DESCRIPTION:This un-parented group will use a variety of instruments\, movement songs\, and familiar tunes to create a fun space for connecting and making music. It is a great class for kids who are ready to start learning simple musical skills such as pitch matching\, keeping a steady beat\, and changing tempos. It will also be an introduction to collaborating and engaging in a class environment and developing independence. \nThis class is on Saturdays from 12:30 – 1:15 pm. \nAccessibility: Our ensemble room (where this group class is held) is accessible by a ramp outside Bryce Hall. Once you enter the building\, you’ll find a gender neutral\, accessible washroom available to you. This is next to a push plate activated door leading to our ensemble room. There is a Handi-Transit stop across the street from Bryce Hall. An accessibility map can be viewed here. DESCRIPTION:Saturday and Sunday\, March 7th and 8th\, 12-3pm \nLearn how to develop black and white film using a standard D-76 process\, then scan your negatives into high-quality digital files. This is a two-part class: developing on day one and scanning on day two. Bring already-shot black and white film and a laptop or a USB drive for saving files.

DESCRIPTION:Baby Beats is a parented early childhood music program for babies 0-3 that focuses on musical foundations and social skill development. Babies gain fine and gross motor skills\, learn how to wait their turn\, discover tempo and rhythm by dancing and playing with scarves or body percussion\, match pitch and find joy in musical storytelling. \nPlease note that this class takes place at one of our satellite locations\, the St. James-Assiniboia Library (1910 Portage Avenue\, Winnipeg). Classes take place from 1 – 1:45 pm on Mondays\, from January 19 – February 9.
