In this workshop\, you’ll be introduced to the rich folklore of “Festa Junina”! \n\n\n\n\nCome and experience the joy of a Brazilian June festival! In this workshop\, you’ll be introduced to the rich folklore of “Festa Junina”\, from its origins as a harvest celebration to the communal traditions we celebrate today. \nWe open with a presentation about the cultural history\, and then we’re on our feet for a practical workshop of “quadrilha junina” dance. We swap strict gendered roles for simple colorful scarves\, making it beginner-friendly and inclusive for everyone. No partner or experience needed!
