Are you an artist or arts administrator in need of a website but you’re not a coder? Sign up for this self-directed online course until May 24, 2019 to learn how to properly plan your artist site.

Whether you already have a website that needs reworking, or you’re starting from scratch, you must always design and plan your site. This eCourse will prepare you with the pieces you need before building your site or approaching a developer. Move through the course at your own pace before signing up for the 2-day intensive workshop where you will build your site under the supervision of WordPress masters.

You are not required to register for the WordPress workshop to take the online course; however, this eCourse is a prerequisite for the 2-day WordPress for Artists Intensive: June 1-2, 2019.  The eCourse will be made available to those already registered until May 31, 2019 – but you will not be able to sign up past May 24, 2019.

This eCourse will prepare you with a well-thought-out content strategy and a fully prepared blueprint for your site.

After the eCourse, you may build your site using the platform of your choice (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, etc.), attend the WordPress for Artists Intensive workshop, or bring your plans to a developer. In each of these cases, the necessary preparation will save you time and money.

In this eCourse, you will:

  • determine who your site’s audience is and what they need;
  • determine what content will meet your visitors’ needs;
  • determine the structure of your site so visitors can find what they need;
  • determine where all your content should go on each page.
