Running a Community Farmers’ Market – with Katie Daman

Tuesday, February 25, 2025  |  6 – 8:00 pm CST  |  Online  |  FREE

Do you love the idea of having a market for growers, makers and other creators in your community but you’re not sure where to start? Maybe you’re already involved in your local market but want to see it grow? In this workshop we’ll go over the basics to starting and running a successful, community-oriented market, highlighting farmers’ markets as an example. With participants guiding what is most supportive for their work, we’ll review topics such as legal structures, permits, insurance, marketing, volunteer recruitment, and vendor communication. Building on the work you’ve already done, we’ll also discuss how your market can become a valued community hub that supports creators, artists and food makers of all types.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL 3:00 PM February 25, 2025.  You will receive a  ZOOM link to your inbox by 4 pm. Check your junk or spam folders if you can’t find your link!

This workshop is part of a series of professional development workshops for northern artists + markers, brought to you by the Northern Arts and Food Project – a partnership between Food and Beverage Manitoba and Creative Manitoba, introducing Community Futures as a partner.
