Website Three Fires International Film Festival

Deadline: April 30, 2023

Three Fires International Film Festival, July 27 – 30, 2023.

Three Fires International Film Festival is a cultural organization dedicated to the promotion of Independent Indigenous, Canadian and International cinema within Muskoka. As an independent source of entertainment, we center Indigenous storytelling and connect small communities to large opportunities.

Our organization drives to empower and integrate local talent into the film, media, and entertainment industry through our 4-day yearly festival venues beginning in Huntsville, Ontario. This festival includes educational programming, performances and film screenings sourced from Canadian and International circuits, as well as our exclusive red-carpet event and awards ceremony where you can meet the talent, cast and crew. We also offer a complementary program of panels featuring invited guest directors, actors, screenwriters and producers.

We are more than just a festival. Our goal is to empower local communities by bringing in educational programming and access to resources required for rural talent to reach the film circuit. Programming in our production studio will offer film production workshops for youth to create their own films. Our goal is to premiere and offer distribution deals to our top filmmaking talent!

Submit your film to 3FIFF, especially if you identify as Indigenous or LGBTQI+. It is always a goal of ours to increase representation for those who remain underrepresented.

Change the way your films usually get screened! Our screenings are taking place in a 15-meter dome that is installed along the beautiful waterway in downtown Huntsville, Ontario, in Rivermill Park! The awards ceremony, red carpet event and reception are in the beautiful historic Algonquin Theatre adjacent from the park in Huntsville downtown core.
