Job Title: Come to Market – Project Coordinator – 10-month term full-time position (January 2025 – October 2025).
Location: Remote position with travel required to various locations in rural and northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Salary: $57,000 annually, prorated for the 10-month term

Are you passionate about community development and helping small businesses grow? We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to manage a unique project that helps entrepreneurs showcase their products at local Farmers’ markets and Pow Wows.
In this role, you’ll guide entrepreneurs through the process of market participation, ensuring they have the support, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ongoing Engagement: Coordinate scheduling, provide on-the-ground support in rural and northern locations, and engage with local community members.
- Market Coordination: Provide support to the Farmers’ markets and assist with recruiting entrepreneurs.
- Vendor Support: Organize training, provide logistical support, and ensure vendors have the supplies and branding needed for success.
- Reporting & Feedback: Gather feedback from entrepreneurs and prepare impact reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Background in project coordination, event management, entrepreneurship or community Strong leadership and community engagement experience.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners.
- Passion: Understanding of the challenges faced by diverse entrepreneurs and a commitment to community development.
- Travel: Ability to travel independently to markets and events in rural and northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Travel will occur primarily during the Spring and Summer months often on both weekends and weekdays. A valid driver’s license is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows, including file management, use of office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email systems, and basic troubleshooting.
