About The Brand

Crock A Doodle is a Canadian woman-founded and owned franchise business established in 2002. There are currently 34 studios operating across Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta, including resort locations in Blue Mountain and Friday Harbour. Crock A Doodle is a special place where family and friends can gather to create, laugh, share, and grow together. The studio offers a range of products and services, including in-studio painting (available by appointment or drop-in), party room reservations, event delivery and hosting, as well as online orders for ‘Doodle-to-Go.’ Each piece is professionally glazed and kiln-fired to achieve a brilliant, durable finish, making it suitable as functional dishware, unique souvenirs, one-of-a-kind gifts, and cherished keepsakes.

About The Studio 

The CAD Kenaston studio has proudly served the Fort Garry South community for 11 years, with nearly 20,000 registered customers from both within and outside the city. The Kenaston studio has established a strong presence and is well-positioned for continued growth in the years ahead.

Role Requirements:

  • Reside in the city of Winnipeg and can work full time in studio (no remote)
  • Have the availability to work all studio operational hours 10 am – 10 pm
  • Hold a valid driver’s license of MB
  • Own or access to a vehicle for potential travel throughout Winnipeg (as we host off-site events)

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager at the studio, you will support the Manager by embodying and promoting the brand philosophy of enriching and enhancing the customer experience. You will oversee the daily operations of the studio and proactively contribute to the growth of the business, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Studio Management (50%) – Leadership Essentials

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that fosters loyalty, encourages word-of-mouth promotion, and drives repeat visits.
  • Maintain a clean, positive, and energetic studio environment for both customers and staff.
  • Oversee studio operations to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Manage inventory to guarantee an adequate supply of bisque, paints, and other necessary materials.
  • Ensure the studio is consistently clean, well-organized, and appropriately merchandised for each day, season, and painting opportunity.

In-Studio Production (5%)

  • Ensure quality control in the glazing and firing of customer pieces.

Business Development (35%)

  • Maximize business growth opportunities to enhance your earning potential.

Customer Care (10%)

  • Approach every customer interaction with warmth, care, and empathy.
  • Foster a sense of comfort and confidence in customers throughout their pottery painting experience.

What’s in it for You?

Base Salary Range: $17 – $23 per hour (based on leadership skills and relevant experience).
Vacation Allotment: 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO), increasing to 3 weeks after 5 years of service. Vacation must be scheduled outside of blackout periods* and is subject to manager approval.
*Benefits: Basic Life, Drug, Dental, Health, and Vision coverage included. Specific details to be discussed with the owner and provider.
