The Manitoba Museum, a not-for-profit and charitable organization, is Manitoba’s largest heritage and science centre. We are unique in our combination of human and natural history themes, multi-dimensional interpretation, immersive dioramas, science and astronomy education, with quality school and public programs and exhibits. The Museum is currently embarking on a multi-phased capital campaign, which will see a renewal of 42% of the Museum Galleries over the next three years.
The Museum is recruiting a Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for strategy and execution of electronic communications. The incumbent will also ensure its websites, digital advertising, social media and all electronic communications have consistent messages aligned to the Museum brand. The incumbent requires experience in creating and executing digital promotion and social media campaigns and a proficiency with applications for web and electronic communications ensuring consistency of information at all touch points. Writing, editing, photography, videography and design acumen are needed to do this job well. This position requires creativity, a high degree of initiative, judgment, and self-reliance. Proficiency in both official languages is an asset.
The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate or Diploma in Marketing and Communications; have at least three (3) years experience in a communications position; experience in photography and videography and associated editing tools; and experience with HTML programming, MailChimp, Survey Monkey, Google Analytics, social media platforms, and other relevant platforms.
