The Foundation for Choral Music in Manitoba seeks a Treasurer to serve as an Officer on their board of directors.
FCMM By-law Article X: The Treasurer shall be the chief financial Officer of the Foundation, shall supervise the financial affairs of the Foundation, shall provide financial statements as required and shall perform such other duties as the Board mat determine.
The treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements and report to the board of directors at regular intervals about the financial health of the organization.
The treasurer will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as board treasurer in not-for-profit preferred
- Choral experience or passion for the arts preferred
