The Manitoba Museum, a not-for-profit and charitable organization, is Manitoba’s largest heritage and science centre. We are unique in our combination of human and natural history themes, multi-dimensional interpretation, immersive dioramas, science and astronomy education, with quality school and public programs and exhibits. The Museum is currently embarking on a multi-phased capital campaign, which will see a renewal of 42% of the Museum Galleries over the next three years.
The Museum is recruiting an experienced Individual Giving Officer to develop and implement fundraising cycle activities (identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement, recognition and stewardship) that ensure effective management and growth of a portfolio of active and productive individual prospects and donors. The successful candidate will be a highly personable, high-energy, goal oriented individual with experience in prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
The successful candidate will have at least five years experience in the non-profit sector with a minimum of three years’ experience in individual giving. The candidate is expected to have completed courses in fundraising, gift planning and non-profit management from a recognized institution. Membership of Association of Fundraising Professionals or Canadian Association of Gift Planners and Certified Fund Raising Executive designation are considered as assets.
