Lullaland Leader

Website lullalandwinnipeg Lullaland Sensory

Deadline: September 10, 2024

Who we are:

Lullaland is a women-owned startup, and our baby & toddler classes are unlike anything else currently offered in Canada. Lullaland is Winnipeg’s FIRST-ever sensory class, creating fun adventures for little ones and their grownups. Our creative and immersive ‘destinations’ change every week, so families never experience the same class twice! We have a passion for innovation and for baby development and this motivates us to provide a welcoming and engaging space for like-minded grown-ups. Our popular classes help grown-ups bond with their baby and toddlers while also allowing them to connect with other parents who are on the same exciting journey of early-year parenthood.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone who can be a Lullaland Leader responsible for delivering our weekly classes. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, builds rapport easily, and thrives at the center of a busy, interactive environment. The right person will share our interest in baby development and enjoy performing and singing in front of others.

Duties/Expectations:

  • Availability to work 1-2 days weekly to start; the candidate must be available to work during class times, which may include one weekday and one weekend day, as well as additional time for training and session planning
  • Lead in the set-up and tear-down of class space and in resetting the room between classes, i.e. tidying, sanitizing, and organizing props & equipment
  • Greet and welcome grownups – the candidate is a friendly, energetic, and warm individual who has a natural ability to connect with others
  • Genuinely interested in babies & toddlers and their development; will demonstrate and/or help stimulate them in an enthusiastic way using props like colorful scarves, parachutes, and bubbles
  • Facilitate and lead adventures – the class leader should have experience leading, presenting or performing in front of groups. They should be comfortable managing and giving direction to the class assistant to ensure the smooth execution of the session
  • Entertain and perform – the ideal candidate can captivate a room and has a strong singing voice (formal voice training is not required. However, it would be an asset)
  • Organized, responsible and reliable – the successful candidate will have their own vehicle and be trusted with transporting and safe-keeping the equipment between class sessions
  • Multitasker – we are looking for a personable leader who can provide calm and clear direction in a busy space, can improvise/adlib, and is able to “transport” an eager audience to their adventure in Lullaland!
  • Access to reliable transportation – the successful candidate must be able to work at any one of our city-wide locations as well as our East St. Paul venue
