Theatre Projects Manitoba is looking to connect with the artistic voices of our region by hosting Artist meetings and General Auditions with in-person or online options. This is a chance to meet Suzie, our new Artistic Director, introduce yourself and your artistic practice, and to share how you might want to work with TPM!
This call is open to artists across the disciplines – performers, designers, writers, creators, directors, audio or visual artists, multi-media artists, producers, production folks and anyone else who wants to work on theatre projects with us.
Since Suzie is new, even artists and colleagues who have worked with TPM before are encouraged to book a time if you haven’t yet connected with Suzie about your work.
Performers are encouraged to share a short (under 2 mins) piece of their choosing. Directors, playwrights, creators, and producers are encouraged to pitch an idea or talk about a theatre piece they love and why. Designers and other artists are encouraged to share samples of their work. Everyone should come ready to talk about their practice and what inspires them creatively!
TPM is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable working environment, and we encourage submissions from members of all the diverse and intersecting communities that make up our region.
Meetings with Artistic Director Suzie Martin and Assistant Producer Key Caguioa will be approximately 15 mins and will be held in person at the MAP Studio or on Zoom (as requested).
In-Person Meetings: 10 am to 5 pm Aug 31 & Sept 1, 2022
Zoom Meetings: Aug 30, 2022 (possibility for evening meetings)
The MAP Studio (5th floor, Artspace Building—100 Arthur St) is accessible by elevator, and the Artspace building itself is accessible by chair lift—we are happy to provide more specific details about the physical accessibility of the space as requested.
