A two-phased project development and mentorship program for independent Canadian producers prepping original narrative feature projects.

Six producers from across Canada are invited to participate in the WFF’s Producers Lab, which prepares Canadian Producers to rework, pitch, market and sell their creative content while also being immersed in business opportunities at the festival.

Deadline: April 9, 2020

The Producers Lab includes two residential phases that take place in Whistler, BC. Phase I takes place from June 1 to 5 and includes four months of ongoing feedback and project development with advisors. Phase II includes a five-day follow up, industry sessions and scheduled market meetings from November 30 to December 4 at the Whistler Film Festival + Content Summit, providing unparalleled access to key industry experts who can provide significant feedback and opportunities

During Phase II, Producers Lab attendees will participate in the Power Pitch Workshop, and a select few will be selected to participate in the Power Pitch Competition and pitch their projects to some of the world’s top sales agents for motion pictures, and compete for a prize package worth over $41,000.
