On behalf of Elder Barb Nepinak, Kate Fenske, CEO, Downtown Winnipeg BIZ, Drew Fisher, President and CEO, RBC Convention Centre and the Selection Committee for the Indigenous Art Mural at the RBC Convention Centre, please join us for the official unveiling and opening ceremony of “Returning to Our Roots” by Justine Proulx.

This significant public art project – spanning four wall panels totaling approximately 200 feet long by 9 feet high, located along St. Mary Avenue – supports Indigenous expression, embodies Indigenous joy and celebrates diverse Indigeneity at this prominent gathering place in downtown Winnipeg.

This event is open to the public, so please feel free to share this invite.

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

*Formal speaking program will take place from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Media are expected to be in attendance.

A live painting by the mural artist, Justine Proulx, will take place following the formal program. Guests will have an opportunity to network, view the mural and take photos. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
