Cultural Labour Force: Labour Market Information Study Results

September 16 at1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

The Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) is going across the country to present the newly minted Labour Market Information (LMI) study of the Canadian cultural workforce. This report takes stock of the current situation for all cultural workers, businesses and organizations which leads to recommendations to strengthen and further grow the sector. The LMI is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada. The research was conducted by the Conference Board of Canada.

The study itself will be available freely to everyone in the coming weeks, the cross-country meetings are a chance to discuss the findings in person. The presentations will be roughly hour-long meetings with the last 20-30 minutes focusing on how the report may be used by local stakeholders. Participation is completely free of charge and all cultural sector stakeholders are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be provided on-site for participants.

We look forward to seeing you there!
