A solo exhibition of work by Tayler Buss. Join us for the opening reception of “Red” on Thursday, May 2 from 7-10pm.
“Red” is an exploration of cultural identity and personal relationships through the use of household objects. The contrast between Western and Chinese objects serves as a metaphor for memories and relationships. The colour red is a connective element throughout the piece while upholding its traditional meaning in Chinese culture: good fortune.
The artist would like to give a special acknowledgement to Helen Lee.
Tayler Buss is an emerging artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, her focus being photography and video. Employing both analog and digital techniques, her work is driven by highly personal narratives. Tayler is a student of the School of Art at the University of Manitoba. Red is Tayler’s first solo show.
