Biographical Info Kathleen Shellrude was born in Winnipeg in 1976 and graduated from the U of W in 2005, after which she taught on multiple continents and worked with street-involved women. Kathleen Shellrude is an emerging Winnipeg born woman who taught herself art during a lengthy hospitalization in 2015; filling dozens of art journals while working through homelessness, depression and addiction issues. Since then she’s been prolific; painting mixed media, whimsical, and dreamlike landscapes and creatures. She’s currently focusing on magically infused handbuilt vases and planters, combining resin, found bones, botanicals and spellwork.
