Creative Manitoba is seeking a motivated individual to play a key role in advancing the Northern Art and Food Project (NAF). NAF is a collaborative undertaking by Creative Manitoba and Food and Beverage Manitoba to support creative artists and food makers in northern Manitoba. It is an exciting opportunity to lead this dynamic program in its third year, strengthening the creative sector with an established network in Manitoba’s north. Working with northern partners, the purpose of the Northern Art and Food Project Manager position is to manage and build on the program foundations already developed, including:
- Program Administration
- Program development and delivery
- Financial and budget management
- Program evaluation and reporting
- Hiring and managing contractors as necessary
- Program Delivery
- Developing, organizing and supporting the delivery of an online professional development workshop series. Re-evaluating training needs, identifying and contracting workshop leaders/instructors
- Coordinating program registration, online delivery logistics
- Coordinating the evaluation processes and writing final reports.
- Oversight and support for the Northern Coordinator and Champion team
- The Project Manager will work closely with individuals in several northern communities to meet the unique needs of each area.
Knowledge and Skills Required

- – Ability to use a wide variety of computer software, including graphic and web-based applications such as Microsoft Suite, Zoom, and Canva.
- – Experience in program reporting to government funders
- – Problem-solving and leadership skills
- – Effective time-management
- – Highly organized and detail-oriented
Working Conditions and Environment
- – A balance of work from home and in the office will be acceptable, subject to approval by the Executive Director.
- – This position will require some travel, in and around Winnipeg, as well as some northern trips.
- – Creative Manitoba will provide an opportunity for educational opportunities on an ongoing basis. Employee development will be discretionary and based on the Creative Manitoba Human Resource policy.

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time term position – 30 hours per week, based on a $45,000 annual salary.
