Conclusion

Embarking on an artist and community collaboration is a great adventure. It can be as small or as large as you, the artist, the community, and its members need it to be.

This module focused on the importance of setting up clear project objectives early on to help support and guide the project. Of course, it has happened that an objective you never intended to reach gets met and then the fun is trying to figure out why.

There is still much to be learned and explored about creating and supporting this specific type of collaboration. The good news is that there are several successful organizations and people in Manitoba working in this area. As you dream up and develop projects, your experiences can be shared with others. You’re doing important work!
