Creative Accessibility is a series of online webinars and panel discussions that explore disability art, the experiences of artists with disabilities and how to make art accessible. These workshops are beneficial not only for emerging artists with disabilities, but artists at all levels of their career with and without disabilities.

While many legal resources exist, few focus on addressing questions, topics, and barriers specifically relevant to Indigenous creatives. Despite existing limitations and gaps in how Canadian laws support the rights of Indigenous creatives, this resource aims to provide concepts and tools that can help creatives better understand their rights, voice their expectations, and advocate for themselves and their work.

This brief article examines the demographics, employment characteristics, and incomes of artists in Manitoba. The article also provides summary information about workers in arts leadership occupations and all occupations in the arts, culture, and heritage (a category that includes artists and arts leaders). The statistics are based on custom data that Hill Strategies requested from Statistics Canada’s 2021 long-form census.
