Calls for Submissions

Each year, the Multifaith Action Society invites artists to submit works of art for publication in our upcoming Multifaith Calendar.

The theme for our upcoming 2027 edition is: Moments of Hope

Deadline for submissions:  31 January 2026

We believe this theme is open to a wide variety of interpretations and leaves open the possibility for a rich array of artistic submissions.

The world’s many mounting challenges include drastic climate change, war and conflict, widening inequality, and intensifying natural disasters. Yet even amidst the darkness, glimmers of hope remain, reminding us of the potential for a brighter, more connected future.

What are the moments of hope that help bring this future into focus, and leave you feeling renewed, refreshed, and ready to grapple with the challenges of our time? It may be as simple as the peaceful view of ducks on a pond, or the sun’s rays breaking dramatically through the clouds. Perhaps it is a trailblazing young leader at the forefront of a new social movement, a thoughtful, well-timed word or action from a trusted friend, or even just a child’s wondrous innocence.

These moments of hope inspire us to be better human beings – and remind us that a just, sustainable, and prosperous future on this Earth is well worth fighting for.

Moments of Hope… Please submit your artwork in any medium that fits your appreciation of this theme. We look to include many different interpretations of this topic in various mediums, which together will help to create a stunning and visually cohesive Calendar.

Submission Guidelines…..  Artists can submit up to 5 works for consideration and artwork on this theme can be submitted in any medium. All artists are invited to submit including those who have never been featured in the Calendar and those who have been featured in past editions. Ultimately, the interpretation of the theme will be determined by the overall collection of images received.

How We Pay Artists…..  Selected artists will be offered an honorarium of $250 per monthly calendar image, $500 for the cover image, and $100 for smaller inset images placed throughout the Calendar. In addition, featured artists will receive a set of complimentary Calendars once published.

How to Submit Entries…..  Submit digital images (up to 5) in low resolution (jpg/72dpi) to: artsubmissions@multifaithaction.org

Should a piece be chosen, we will contact the artist and request a high resolution version of the image (min 400 dpi).
