Calls for Submissions

Wasagaming Community Arts (WCA) is a vibrant gallery and arts centre located in the heart of Riding Mountain National Park. From May to September, we host a lively program of exhibitions, events, and creative workshops in our gallery and studio spaces, welcoming artists and visitors from across Manitoba and beyond.

This past summer, we proudly celebrated 55 years of colour, creativity, and community, reflecting on the legacy of our founders and rejoicing in the countless memories and connections that have taken place at WCA. We welcomed over 11,500 visitors through our doors in just four months, and after such an incredible milestone season, we’re already looking ahead to Summer 2026!

We’re looking for emerging and experienced artists to exhibit in our gallery spaces during the 2026 Season. Four exhibition slots are available.

Exhibition Dates & Opening Receptions:

• May 23 – June 16 — (Opening Reception: Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 7:00pm)
• June 20 – July 16 — (Opening Reception: Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 7:00pm)
• July 25 – August 12 — (Opening Reception: Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 7:00pm)
• August 15 – September 6 — (Opening Reception: Saturday, August 15 at 7:00pm)

Each exhibition will feature the work of 3-5 talented artists and collectives. Selections will be made through a juried panel process conducted by the WCA Board’s Exhibition Committee.

In line with our commitment to supporting emerging artists, we’ve created a helpful FAQ Guide for those who may be applying for their first time or have questions about the process. We encourage everyone to apply — even if you’re still developing your exhibition materials. Please fill out the submission form to the best of your ability.

Once our Exhibition 2026 Artists are selected and announced, we will be organizing a Zoom Orientation Session in January/February 2026 to review timelines and next steps.

Please Note: Artists who exhibited during the 2025 Season are not eligible for selection this year. We encourage you to consider applying to our Local Artist Boutique or express interest in teaching a workshop in our Studio Space.
