Now accepting workshop proposals for the 2026 Manitoba Fibre Festival, September 11th & 12th at the Red River Exhibition Hall!
Hands-on fibre workshops are a core part of the Manitoba Fibre Festival, connecting visitors with local artists to explore new skills and natural fibres. Each year, the Festival strives to offer a diverse selection of workshops in fibre arts techniques focused on using natural fibres. Examples of skills covered in past workshops include spinning, weaving, natural dyeing, lacemaking, beading, leatherwork, basketry, embroidery, knitting, crochet, nalbinding, rughooking, punch needle and quilting. Workshops geared toward any skill level (introductory through advanced) or age (youth, adult, all ages) are welcome.
Applications are open through Friday, February 13th, 2026.
