Mentorship

I am a freelance pattern drafter, cutter, tailor, stitcher and general textile person. I mostly specialize in for trade era and war of 1812 British clothing, but I’ve also explored several different time periods, including the modern era. I work individual clients, historic sites as well as theater and film productions.

Jordan Miller, a Winnipeg artist, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 2002. She holds a diploma in Arts and Cultural Management from the University of Winnipeg. She was the founder and owner of Cre8ery Gallery & studio for 18.5 years before closing May 1, 2025 to become a full-time artist and mentor.

​Jordan was the recipient of the 35th Annual Woman of Distinction Award in the Arts Category (2011). She was one of three finalists for the Future Leaders Of Manitoba Awards (2015).

​​Jordan has exhibited at Pulse Gallery, Birchwood Art Gallery, Fleet Galleries, cre8ery, Gallery Lacosse, Urban Shaman Gallery, Gallery 111, outworks, Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba Gift Shop, Gallery in the Park, Prairie Fusion, 210 Gallery, Wasagaming Community Arts, and Golden Prairie Arts Council.

​​Jordan is a member of Creative Manitoba, Manitoba Arts Network, Artists AccessAbility Network Manitoba and Mentoring Art for Women’s Art (MAWA). She is a mentor with MAWA's Mentor on the Fly Program. Jordan is collected across Canada, the United States, and in several countries around the world.  She is collected by the Province of Manitoba and by Winnipeg incorporated businesses.

Amanda Kostas (she/they) is a multi method artist whose work is deeply influenced by the beauty of nature and the intricate details of tattoo art. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing the essence of her surroundings, Amanda's pieces reflect a harmonious blend of delicate lines and vibrant washes of colour.

Inspired by her grandmother, who nurtured her artistic spirit from a young age, Amanda channels this encouragement into their work, exploring themes of growth and transformation. Her art invites viewers to appreciate the subtle nuances of the natural world, while also paying homage to the personal connections that shape her creative journey.

Based in Winnipeg, MB Canada on Treaty 1 land, Amanda continues to evolve their practice, striving to inspire others through her unique vision and dedication to her craft.
