The Professional Program of The School of Contemporary Dancers is a four-year professional training program for dancers seeking a career in contemporary dance performance and is recognized as a leading national centre for professional contemporary dance training in Canada.  SCD is renowned across the country for the excellence of its training methods and high calibre of its students and graduates.​

​The School of Contemporary Dancers is a recognized post-secondary institution and has an affiliation with The University of Winnipeg where students may earn credits toward a BA (Honours) in Dance.

The Professional Program offers training in contemporary and modern dance, ballet, improvisation, partnering, voice, paedagogy, choreography and composition along with many workshop classes to facilitate professional development.

The Junior Program is geared toward middle school and high school students and others, who are studying at an intermediate level of training. Admission to the Program is by audition. The Program is ideal for students who have a special interest in contemporary dance performance and those who wish to become professional contemporary dancers.​

Our Youth and Adult General Programs are committed to providing a strong technical foundation while fostering creativity and artistry in all individuals. We invite our students to discover the benefits and joy of dance within a welcoming and non-competitive atmosphere.
