La Maison des artistes visuels francophones acknowledges that it is located on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Founded in Winnipeg in 2000, La Maison is a non-profit organization that supports Francophone visual artists in Manitoba while promoting contemporary visual arts through exhibitions, public programming, workshops, professional development, and educational initiatives. We provide opportunities for artists to develop sustainable careers while fostering dialogue, creativity, and cultural exchange.
Open to people of all backgrounds, La Maison celebrates Manitoba's diverse linguistic and cultural communities and is guided by the values of inclusiveness, creativity, solidarity, integrity, and fulfillment. Through partnerships with cultural, educational, and community organizations, we expand access to the visual arts, engage new audiences, and strengthen the vitality of Manitoba's Francophone arts community.
