Taking place August 15 and 16, 2026, the free, self-guided tour brings together more than 35 artists at 24 studio and group locations throughout Eastern Manitoba—from the eastern shores of Lake Winnipeg, through communities along the Winnipeg River system, to Whiteshell Provincial Park.
The tour offers several strong local story possibilities, including:
- The artists and creative communities of rural Eastern Manitoba
• Behind-the-scenes visits inside working studios
• The connection between art, place and the boreal landscape
• The role of arts tourism in supporting rural artists, communities and businesses
• Artist demonstrations and previews of work being prepared for the tour
• The volunteer and community partnerships that make the tour possible
The Boreal Shores Art Tour takes place Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and maps and tour information are available at www.BorealShoresArtTour.ca
