Duty of Care: A Fable in Two Acts
A New Play by Tim Higgins and Jock Warriner
Duty of Care is far more than a night at the theatre — it’s an invitation to consider one of the most urgent moral questions of our time: how do we care for one another, especially the most vulnerable among us?
Set in a senior’s home, Duty of Care is honest, sometimes unsettling, and deeply human. You’ll most likely see parts of your own experiences — or those of people you love — reflected on the stage.
As a church community, we talk often about love, justice, and care in action. This play brings those ideas to life in ways that invite reflection and conversation — a story that I’m sure will stay with you long after the final scene.
So, come to be moved. Come to be challenged. Come to support a community — this community — that believes care is not just a job, but a calling.
That’s Duty of Care: A Fable in Two Acts, opening Tuesday, May 12th at the Forrest Nickerson Theatre, 285 Pembina Hwy! Tickets are available by calling Young United Church at 204-783-0128 or by emailing office@youngunitedchurch.com
