Raine (they/them) is part prairie songstress, part story-weaver. Each song has a story, delivered between songs with humour and grace.Raine invites deep love of the violin into the singer-songwriter genre, writing for violin and voice, as well as for guitar and voice. Joined by cello and upright bass, expect string arrangements that push and pull, that move as they console.

Raine believes that music is for everyone, and that we all have something to share. An experienced educator, Raine offers workshops in songwriting and fiddle tune writing (EN/FR). Raine also offers concerts with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, to help make live music and the community that comes with it more accessible to the Deaf community.

Lourdes Still
Woman in field holding bundle of flowers

Lourdes Still is the creative behind Masagana Flower Farm & Studio, a seasonal flower farm, natural dye studio and experiential tourism destination near La Broquerie, Manitoba. In this Filipina-led small business, Lourdes emphasizes in ecologically sound growing practices after turning lawns into garden beds. She grows seasonal blooms specializing in plants and flowers that can be used as natural dye sources.

She started as a self-taught flower grower, natural dyer, and tourism operator but has since learned and trained from industry leaders. Her farm is seasonal, but her floral-dyed projects are year-round. She believes that growing joy (through flowers) and creating magic (through dye plants) is right at our fingertips and our gardens present opportunities to respond positively to the climate emergency. She hopes to inspire people to find that joy in their life and if that’s flowers, great!

Nestor Wynrush

Elliott Walsh (Nestor Wynrush) is a Winnipeg based emcee-singer, writer, and workshop facilitator. This first-generation Canadian taps his Caribbean roots to cook up an authentic pot-au-feu that can aptly be described as Prairie Rap with a dash of Red River & West Indian Soul. The regular day to day with a melange of thoughts exploring family, love, identity and accessibility weave between every rhythm. Ultimately, it’s sincere and unvarnished storytelling music.

On March 14, 2026, Creative Entrepreneurship Day returns with ‘Pitching Your Purpose’!

How do you tell your story? How do you wrap up all the things you do into a neat little package?

In this year’s event, we will explore who we are as artists, what we put into the world, and how to communicate it to collaborators, funders, audiences, and more. Participants will clarify and define their artistic practices while receiving practical advice on how to develop and sustain a successful arts business.

For the breakout sessions, participants will be split into two smaller groups and have the opportunity to attend each session in the morning and afternoon:

Building Your Authentic Brand with Lourdes Still

This session will help you figure out who you are as an artist and what makes you stand out in the crowd with expert advice from Lourdes. Learn what aspects of your creative practice to focus on when crafting your pitch.

Presenting Your Art with Power with Nestor Wynrush

This session is for artists who want to talk about their work with more confidence and authenticity. Learn to express your creative process, personal story and artistic vision. You’ll leave feeling more comfortable sharing not just what you make, but who you are as an artist.
