Producing 101? More like Producing 10-FUN!

There’s a lot that goes into making stuff happen: from budgeting, granting, contracting, project timelines, supporting production and artistic personnel – the list goes on! In this workshop, Tanner will share some tools, ideas, and stories from producing intimate performances to new large-scale productions. With some hands-on exercises, this workshop will endow you with skills to start getting your projects in motion: taking that inkling of a concept and journeying to find the way to make it happen.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Tanner Manson is a queer theatre/dance artist and arts/events manager based in Winnipeg, MB. He is passionate about nurturing relationships and long-term collaboration while creating new and exciting work.

He is Co-Artistic Producer of One Trunk Theatre devising new work across the province and artistic disciplines. He has made some raucous work with Walk&Talk and was the recipient of Prairie Theatre Exchange’s Cherry Karpyshin Arts Management Prize in 2024. Tanner is a frequent collaborator with many fellow prairie-dwelling artists and organizations including Theatre Projects Manitoba, Fête Jockey, Young Lungs Dance Exchange, and Weather Parade Dance Theatre.
