Have you ever wondered how to get your work published? Working Draft is excited to feature author Ariel Gordon to answer your questions about the publication process. During this free workshop, Ariel will present a short seminar on how emerging writers like you can get your writing out into the world.
Join us on March 12, 2026, at RRC Polytech’s Exchange District campus in room P107 to hear from Ariel, with a Q&A to follow. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.. Ariel’s talk will begin at 5:00 p.m.. Light refreshments will be provided.
Ariel Gordon (she/her) is a Winnipeg/Treaty 1 territory-based writer, editor, and enthusiast. She is the ringleader of Writes of Spring, a National Poetry Month project with Plume Winnipeg that appears in the Winnipeg Free Press. She is the author of seven books, the most recent of which are the essay collection Fungal: Foraging in the Urban Forest (Wolsak & Wynn, 2024) and the epistolary spec-fic novel Blood Letters, co-authored with graphic novelist GMB Chomichuk (Great Plains Press, 2025). Her work appeared in Best Canadian Essays 2025, edited by Emily Urquhart, and in Best Canadian Poetry 2026, edited by Mary Dalton. Gordon is the 2025-2026 Writer in Residence at the Winnipeg Public Library.
