Calls for Submissions

The Jean Murray-Moray Sinclair scholarship is for full-time students attending accredited theatre schools or university theatre programs who intend to pursue a career in theatre. Applications due April 5. Interviews/Auditions April 20-May 5. More information at RoyalMTC.ca/Scholarships.

Who can apply?
To apply, you must be:

• A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.
• A resident of Manitoba, or former resident of Manitoba for a significant period of your life.
• A full-time student enrolled in an accredited theatre training program – part-time students and students enrolled in faculties of education or programs of other artistic disciplines are not eligible. The theatre program does not have to be Manitoba-based.
• At any point in any level of your training program – you do not have to be entering your first year of a theatre program to apply for the first time.

How to apply:
Applications must be sent by email only no later than April 5, 2026.

• Applications must include the items on the attached checklist.  Please include the checklist with your application.
• The application and all supporting materials must be submitted together by the deadline. Exception: if you have not received your final marks or your acceptance letter at the time of application, please tell us when you will be able to forward a copy.
• Applicants selected for an audition/interview will be contacted in advance.

Submitting an application does not guarantee you will receive funding; the process is competitive. Download an application form at RoyalMTC.ca/Scholarships and follow the instructions there.
