Calls for Submissions

Submissions for the 21st edition of the WNDX Festival of Moving Image, to be held Nov 12-15, 2026, are now open!

We encourage submissions from emerging and experienced filmmakers alike.

We have two open calls for local filmmakers:

• A Canadian Open Call, which considers works of any length made in 2025 or 2026 by Canadian directors
• A special Prairie-region open call for short films (up to 15 mins) made by Canadian Queer directors for a program curated by Alex Nguyen

The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2026.

As always, submissions are free!
