Board Member – Manitoba Chamber Orchestra

The Manitoba Chamber Orchestra (MCO) is seeking expressions of interest from individuals interested in joining its Board of Directors.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of Canada’s leading arts organizations, known for artistic achievement, innovation, and meaningful community impact.

Volunteer board members contribute approximately 3–5 hours per month and play an important role in governance, strategy, and advocacy.

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience or interest in leadership and governance, fund development and philanthropy, and community engagement or strategic growth. We welcome candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and lived experiences.

The MCO is committed to building a Board that reflects the diversity of the community it serves. We strongly encourage applications from individuals with a wide range of lived experiences and perspectives, including:

  • Indigenous, Black, and racialized individuals
  • People with disabilities
  • Members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community
  • Individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds
  • Emerging and mid-career leaders, alongside experienced professionals
