My name is Chris Friesen.  I’m a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with over ten years of teaching experience, offering innovative guitar lessons in Winnipeg.

I’m on a mission to teach music differently.  I believe that music is a language, and like any language it is learned best through creativity and exploration.

My aim is always to teach while keeping my student’s musical freedom intact.  As a guitar teacher I try to give my students the tools and understanding needed to teach themselves.  My ultimate goal is to nurture the artist in every student.

I offer guitar lessons, bass lessons, banjo lessons, and ukulele lessons out of my home studio in Winnipeg, and I also offer lessons where I come to you.  I also offer small group guitar lessons.

I teach both children and adults, and can teach children as young as 6.

PRICES

60 min: $45

30 min: $30

Travel Charge: for lessons where I come to your home to teach I charge a travel fee of $20 to cover travel time and fuel costs.

Group Guitar Lessons

12 week program: $240 ($20 per lesson)

Arcane Studios serves as a hub for musicians and artists to come together and rehearse, collaborate, record, broadcast or showcase their work.
