Loïk Raymond

Loïk Raymond is a Two-Spirit Innu who grew up in the Uashat area and now lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Ottawa and works as the Outreach and Experiences Coordinator at Le Musée de Saint-Boniface Museum, where he leads community engagement, programming, and communications. Loïk is deeply committed to Indigenous Rights, land sovereignty, and climate justice. They believe in amplifying youth voices and traditional knowledge as essential to building a more just and sustainable future.

Jace Richarde

Acrylic painter and precious metal smith from Winnipeg Manitoba.

subject matter lends itself to the natural world and its inhabitants with a unique brand of illustrative realism mixed with abstract constructs.

Jace also produces original and limited edition precious metal pieces, which are available both online and in person at his Transcona based workshop.

He has participated in multiple group exhibits , and his pieces are found in both private and corporate collections.

Claire Johnston

Claire Johnston is a Red River Métis and settler visual artist based in Winnipeg/Treaty 1 Territory. As a Two-Spirit Piitoshi-iteeyihtam (one who thinks differently), Claire engages in creating slow meticulous floral beadwork that responds relationally to the past and present.

Claire is an artist and team member with the Re*Storying Autism project (Queen's University), which works to combat Western, colonial, capitalist, and biomedical understandings of Autism through Autistic storytelling and narratives that affirm difference as desirable and needed.

As part of Canada’s official entry to the 2025 Venice Biennale, Claire was selected as a fellow to engage in research on Venetian seed beads and their connection to Métis beadworkers past and present. Their artwork has been acquired by permanent collections at the University of Manitoba (2024) and has exhibited at Urban Shaman (Winnipeg 25’), Rosemary Gallery (Winnipeg 24’), Tangled Arts (Toronto 22’, 24’), Festival du Voyageur (Winnipeg 24’), Venice Biennale of Architecture (Venice 23’) and The Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art (Vancouver 22’).

Claire is a Sundancer, a step-parent, an auntie, and an MMF citizen with membership with the Two-Spirit Michif Local.

Annie Beach is an artist, rooted in Winnipeg, and now living in Portage La Prairie. Beach holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from the University of Manitoba. She has executed over thirty mural projects throughout Manitoba, working as a facilitator with a variety of youth and cultural-based organizations, to imagine a more vibrant and tender world for the next seven generations.

The Herdsman House in Neubergthal

The Herdsman House in Neubergthal Artist Residence and Guest House is in a national historic Mennonite Street village in Neubergthal, Manitoba, Canada. It is privately owned and operated by Margruite and Paul Krahn and has been hosting artists of various disciplines since 2015. Margruite is a visual artist, curator, and host of the Herdman House. Paul maintains the buildings and acts as soundman and technician.

With the guidance of Restoration Workshop/Parks Canada, and funding support from the provincial heritage governing body, Paul and Margruite restored and renovated the only remaining village herdsman cottage (c. 1880s) in Canada, as well as a 1927 barn into their home, studio, and 140 seat venue.

The Herdsman House facilitates space for visual artists/photographers, writers/playwrights, performing arts, musicians, educators, curators, culture and heritage.
