Theatre Unlabeled

• Theatre Unlabeled is an acting school in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  We are dedicated to the art of improvisational theatre, and provide training and performance opportunities for actors working in improvisational forms.

  We believe that theatre is for everyone, and that anyone can act or improvise: all that is necessary is to create an environment where growth is possible.  We think that attaching labels to other people limits possibilities for growth and change, particularly labels such as "talented" or "untalented."

  We are also community focused, and think that theatre training has mental, physical, and social benefits that go beyond teaching acting or improv skills.  We are dedicating to partner with community organizations to improve well being for all, through the discipline of play.

  We offer acting classes throughout the year to both children and adults.

  "How often do we do this with people? We don’t see them for who they are, but for how we label what they are in relation to us.

  That will color and limit the possible relationships you can have with them. When we see our idea of what we see, it is a partial illusion.  When we see without labels, we truly see.  We develop an artist’s eye."
