Forum Art Centre is a community art school and registered charitable organization. We endeavour to develop and encourage art appreciation and artistic enlightenment by serving the community through diverse approaches to art instruction. Offering an expanding range of art programs in drawing, mixed media, acrylic, water-soluble oil, and watercolour painting, as well as ceramics. 10-week sessions with classes for all ages 7+ run in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Summer intensive courses for adults and art camps for youth are offered in July and August. We aim to minimize barriers to accessing visual arts education and are committed to making our art classes as accessible as possible. Flexible pricing options and bursaries are available for both adult and youth classes, and all art supplies are provided for youth classes.
The Forum Art Centre was established in 1964 to provide educational and cultural enrichment for the art community in and around Manitoba. Founded by Nikola Bjelajac and Steve Repa who worked diligently to create a non-credit art organization with instruction available to anyone willing to learn. Their dedication in making art education accessible to all in the community remains a foundational value of Forum Art Centre.
