Youth and Young Adult Mentorship

Creative Manitoba’s Careers in the Arts youth and young adult mentorship programs provide exposure, support and opportunity for growth towards careers in the arts in three distinct program streams:

Each program offers unique hands-on mentorship working with professionals working in an arts career. Follow the links below to learn more about each program, and how to apply!

7-month mentee-led mentorship, working 1-on-1 with a chosen mentor & connecting with the full team across artistic disciplines.

Group Mentorship Logo

Ages 16–19

8-week introductory sessions for high school age mentees, working in a group, learning from professionals in their artistic industry.

Rural Mentorship Logo

Ages 19–29

5-month mentee led mentorship, working 1 on 1 or small group with a chosen mentor.

Mentees/Mentor must reside outside of Winnipeg.

It is our intent that Creative Manitoba programs foster a supportive, safe, nonthreatening environment for everyone to participate and share in, without judgement, regardless of gender, ability, ethnicity, or cultural differences. We expect all participants to be welcoming and respectful of world views that may differ from your own. While participating in events and group sessions we ask that all are mindful to leave space for everyone to share and participate.

Creative Manitoba pledges to prioritize opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds and from equity-seeking communities, making best efforts to hold 50% of program space for participants identifying  as BIPOC or from equity-seeking groups.
