Erica Wilson is a Saulteaux Artist on Treaty 1 Territory. Her art is rooted in Authenticity, Curiosity, Humor and Sacred Rage. Erica collaborates as an artist for community but is branching out into solo projects for 2026/27.
Her personal artistic style is a slower process to honor the bond between mind and hands in theatre that includes: mask making, costume building and puppetry. The balance for the body is tying it together with contemporary movements and burlesque.
Where she thrives is within community spaces and creating celebrations. Currently the Arts community director for medium-sized organizations and board member of the Winnipeg Arts Council. Past highlights: Creation advisory circle member with Indigenous Youth Roots and the National Screen Institute as co-manager for the TikTok Accelerator for Indigenous Creators.
The foundations of her skills are being a facilitator conducting theatre based workshops on topics of communication, public speaking and channeling group creativity strategies.
Hope McIntyre is an award winning playwright and director. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Winnipeg Department of Theatre and Film and also teaches through the Walls to Bridges program in correctional centres. Her training includes a BFA in performance from the University of Saskatchewan and an MFA in directing from the University of Victoria. She was the founding Artistic Director of Sarasvàti Productions, a company dedicated to social change that she helmed for 22 years. During this tenure she developed multiple new theatrical works, produced FemFest (an annual festival), worked as a dramaturg for emerging playwrights, and developed community-based play creation methods.
Hope is former Chair of The Women’s Caucus and former President of the Playwrights Guild of Canada. She has received the YWCA Women of Distinction Award, the Bra D’Or, the Women Helping Women Award, the Mahatma Gandhi Social Change Award, and the University of Winnipeg Arts Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2023 she published the e-book The Business of Theatre: Pathways to a Career in Theatre.
