The Village Conservatory for Music Theatre is accepting applications for their 26/27 Performing Arts Training Lab.
The program includes:

9 weeks of biweekly group classes in dance technique, artistic creation, and acting

private voice lessons with one of our lead instructors

Masterclasses in specialized topics led by artists across Canada
Participants will be introduced to a variety of artistic practices, methods of creation, and dance styles every week. Artists will have the opportunity to perform throughout the year, including an end-of-program cabaret.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Our programs are open to artists 18+. People of all genders, ethno-cultural backgrounds, and physical abilities are welcome and encouraged to apply.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Our programs are designed for artists looking to take the next step forward in their ‘triple-threat’ training, combining skills in dance, acting, singing, and artistic creation. Our programs are participant-driven with opportunities for mentorship, career guidance, and professional development for wherever our students’ careers may take them.
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUBMIT?
Prospective students should submit a resume detailing their past performance and education experience, and prepare the following, either via video or for in-person auditions:

one scene or monologue of your choice

one song of your choice
-
an original piece of your own creation, no longer than two minutes in length. This can be a monologue, song, poem, movement sequence, etc. We are looking to get to know you better as an artist, so have fun and be creative!
