I am a Manitoba-based community artist, muralist, mosaic artist and arts facilitator whose practice is rooted in collaboration, storytelling and place. For more than two decades, I have worked with schools and communities throughout Manitoba to transform shared ideas, histories and experiences into large-scale public artwork.
I have led approximately 200 mural projects across more than 150 schools and community settings. My collaborative process brings participants into research, conversation, design and creation, making the finished artwork a reflection of the people and place it represents. I am especially interested in art as a way of building connection, strengthening belonging and making community stories visible.
My practice also includes mosaic, mixed media, workshops and community-based arts programming. I have worked with students, educators, Elders, artists, community organizations and public groups, adapting each project to its particular setting and participants.
Whether I am creating a large-scale mural, facilitating a collaborative mosaic or developing an arts program, I see the artwork and the process as equally important. My goal is to create work that is colourful, accessible and meaningful—and to create opportunities for people to see themselves and their stories reflected in the places they share.
