Matter Queer Space Manitoba Inc.

• Matter Queer Space Manitoba Inc. (Matter) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run, and donation-supported Two-Spirit, Queer, and Trans Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (2SQTBIPOC) -mandated art gallery, library, and queer community programming space. Matter centres 2SQTBIPOC art, literature, and 2SLGBTQIA+ people.

  Our mission is to uplift, represent, and celebrate the voices and creativity of 2SQTBIPOC communities through a 2SQTBIPOC-mandated art gallery and library, and diverse programs and activities that foster connection, learning, and wellness for the entire 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmakers Collective

• The Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmakers Collective (WIFC) is a grassroots community of Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers, and creatives dedicated to uplifting Indigenous voices in film and media. Founded on mentorship, collaboration, and cultural empowerment, WIFC provides a supportive environment where artists of all experience levels — from emerging storytellers to established professionals — can grow their skills, connect with peers, and bring their stories to life.

  Through workshops, incubators, screenings, and networking events, WIFC nurtures Indigenous talent and strengthens the presence of Indigenous-led storytelling across Turtle Island. Regular programming includes General Meetings on the second Wednesday of each month and a Workshop on the final Thursday of each month, alongside other special initiatives.

Kejic Productions Inc.

• Kejic Productions is a Winnipeg-based company owned and operated by Cree/Ojibway Producer and Director, Erica Daniels. Erica has been an entrepreneur for several years and founded the company in 2017. Kejic Productions creates, develops and produces films, community and corporate videos; as well, provides event photography and marketing services.

   

  We operate from the spirit of respect and kindness; our mandate is to do things from the heart when working with clients and communities. Kejic is an Anishinaabe word, which means The Sky. The name was given by Elder Dave Courchene Jr., which symbolizes there are no limits to what we can dream and achieve. We are in a time where we as Indigenous people, the original peoples of our homeland, need to be telling our own stories and representing the Indigenous voices and perspectives.

  Kejic Productions has a reputation of connecting to the community it serves by building relationships and respected partnerships. We continue to build our cliental and provide high quality professional services as well as unique opportunities such as career exploration and on-the-job training for Indigenous youth!

Manitoba Choral Association

• Manitoba Choral Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, strengthening, and promoting the choral arts in Manitoba. We do this by:

  • providing resources for choral singers, groups, and leaders of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities;
  • supporting and celebrating choral musicians and contributors through awards and scholarships;
  • advocating on behalf of the Manitoba choral community;
  • fostering provincial, national, and international connections and cooperation;
  • presenting high-quality artistic, cultural, and educational programs and events;
  • promoting members’ concerts and events within the Manitoba choral community;
  • encouraging the composition of choral music by Manitoba composers; and
  • providing opportunities for all Manitobans to experience and enjoy choral music.
