Navigating Anxiety in Your Art Practice with Julian K and Chantel Mierau

Julian K and Chantel Mierau will share some ways to manage/navigate anxiety in your art career. They will talk about practical strategies applicable to grant writing, getting started on projects,and more. They will also address some of the myths that intimidate us about the “art world”and offer an opportunity for group conversation around the topic.
Julian K (right) is an interdisciplinary artist, drag queen and writer. Chantel Mierau (left) works in video, textiles and performance. Both are both artists and former arts administrators living on Treaty One territory. They are passionate about supporting artists’ mental health and advocating for better working conditions in the arts.

Cancellation policy
Creative Manitoba reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Creative Manitoba will receive a full refund.
Registrants may cancel up to one week before the event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued to registrants who cancel within one week of the event start date. No refunds will be issued for registrants who do not attend.
Substitute participants are allowed in most cases, but not all. Please check with us ahead of time if you wish to send a substitute participant by calling 204-927-2787.
