Creative Entrepreneurship Day is a one-day event for artists of all disciplines who are looking to develop their skills and further define their artistic practice. Through a keynote presentation and interactive workshops, participants will gain entrepreneurial skills and learn how to use their current knowledge and expertise to create opportunities. The theme this year is Cultivating Connection, an exploration of who we are as artists vs what we put out into the world. When promoting yourself, do you remember to ask, “Who am I? In what ways am I unique as an artist and individual?” And once you’re out there, how do you connect with others and build on those connections for mutual benefit?
Participants this year may choose two out of three breakout sessions to better hone in on their career and creative goals. Breakout sessions are opportunities to connect and discuss with each other in small groups, the conversation possibilities are endless! Come with questions and a desire to collaborate across artistic disciplines. Please look over the descriptions below to help you choose which two breakout sessions will be the most helpful to you and your career!
Creative Entrepreneurship 2024 will be presented in person. A catered lunch and morning refreshments will be provided for all participants.
Tickets are FREE for members and $30 for non-members. Individual memberships range from $15-$25 per year.

SPEAKERS
ANDRINA TURENNE
Guided by the whispers of wind and boreal forests, Andrina Turenne draws inspiration from the rich history of Manitoba’s Red River and, like a river, her musical journey has swept her off from family campfires to international stages.
With a two-decade career, including time with Juno-award-winning Chic Gamine, Turenne is now in the midst of a solo chapter. Influenced by legends like Irma Thomas and Gillian Welch, Turenne’s recently released debut solo project, Bold as Logs, is a daring mix of English and French tales. Her solo debut navigates turbulent rapids and calm bends, reflecting the diverse influences of bluesy R&B, roots rock, and old-time folk.
